Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, recently made headlines when he spoke out against Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State regarding the deplorable road conditions in the state.
Portable, famous for his hit song "Zazoo Zeh," found himself in a dangerous situation while driving his Range Rover on a poorly maintained road in Sango-Ota shortly after returning to Nigeria from a successful tour in the United States of America. This incident prompted him to criticize Governor Dapo Abiodun for the state of the roads.
In a video that went viral on social media, Portable expressed his gratitude and excitement after being offered N2 million as compensation for his outspokenness.
The compensation was given to him in acknowledgment of his efforts to draw attention to the issue of bad roads in Ogun State. While appreciative of the compensation, Portable took the opportunity to once again criticize Governor Dapo Abiodun for failing to address the poor road infrastructure in the state adequately.
So after deliberately running his faulty Range Rover into a visible gutter by roadside on his street just to get attention, raunchy singer Portable has attracted what he aimed for. He’s now reportedly ‘sorted’ with N2m to praise the government.
