Afrobeats artist Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid pays tribute to his late mother, Mrs. Jane Morayo Balogun, on what would have been her birthday.
Wizkid's mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on August 18, 2023, in London.
On her posthumous birthday, Wizkid expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, stating that his life feels incomplete without his mother.
He emphasized the enduring pain of missing her daily and the permanent sadness in his heart.
On his X handle, he wrote:
"Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us!
My heart is broken forever! Love you, love love you, MORAYO mi.Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!"
It was reported that Wizkid revealed his plans to honor his mother in an upcoming album titled 'Morayo'.
However, the release date for this highly awaited album has not been disclosed yet by the artist.
