Popular Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy has become the second Nigerian, after Wizkid to receive a BRIT plaque for exceeding one billion streams in the UK.
The singer was presented with the prestigious award during his sold-out performance at London Stadium on Saturday, June 29.
Despite this accolade, the self-proclaimed African Giant expressed his disappointment, stating that the recognition was long overdue, as he had achieved the milestone over two years ago.
He said:
“What I want to know is why I’m getting this? Why not add all of them together; a bigger one. This was two years ago; nawa for una o. You people should update but I appreciate it.”
