Davido's personal bodyguard, Segxy, refutes rumors claiming that the DMW boss slapped him at his traditional wedding ceremony.
In a viral video, Davido scolded the bodyguard for not allowing a boy to pick money from the floor while he was dancing with his wife Chioma.
Despite the perceived action as a slap, the bodyguard clarifies that Davido did not physically assault him. This incident led to backlash against Davido on social media platforms.
Responding on his Instagram account, Sexy dismissed the video as "fake" and emphasized that Davido did not slap him and has never physically harmed any of his team members.
The bodyguard clarified that Davido was simply advising him to let a boy approach him, whom he was initially stopping from reaching the singer.
Segxy wrote: “As regards the fake video flying on the internet, y’all commenting sh*t you don’t know.. My boss didn’t slap me and has never slapped any of his staff before.
He was only cautioning me to allow the boy. The boy in question appeared from nowhere beside us, and I tried to stop him.
Besides, my boss is my blood and family. I understand him so well without a word from his mouth.. 30BG for life.”
Also reacting to the clip Davido took to his Twitter page to shut down the backlash, and noted that he does not care about what people say.
He wrote: “Note: Fxxk what people gotta say! Stay active.”
