Guyanese American hip-hop artist, Saint Jhn, has refuted allegations suggesting that Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Divine Ikubor, commonly known as Rema, served as an inspiration for his music.

The Grammy award-winning musician made this statement following assertions from a fan on the social media platform Twitter, who implied that Saint Jhn's recent Afro-themed track, 'Humble,' bore significant influence from Rema.

Addressing the speculation, Saint Jhn clarified on his social media account that while he acknowledges Rema's talent, he has not immersed himself in Rema's music sufficiently to draw inspiration from it. The 'Calm Down' star emphasized that although he respects Rema's artistry, his creative process remains independent of Rema's musical style. Saint Jhn's response aims to dispel any misconceptions regarding the origins of his latest work, reinforcing his unique approach to music production and composition. This public declaration serves to underscore Saint Jhn's artistic integrity and originality in the face of comparisons to other prominent artists in the industry.

to which Saint replied: “Nah, he’s dope. But I haven’t heard enough to be influenced.
