Sad; Lady dies as She Went to Book a Lodge With a Drunk Guy, Then This Happened 😭

One of the most disturbing facts about the ongoing cases of gender-based violence is that the perpetrators are usually not strangers but people we know and trust. Reports revealed that 70 per cent of women who are killed in South Africa are killed by people who know them very well, usually a boyfriend, an ex-boyfriend, or a family member of a friend. This makes them live their lives in fear because they don’t know who to trust anymore.

Recently, there was another touching story about a lady who was found dead, and the suspect was her boyfriend. According to the reports, Funeka Mthiyane left home and said she’s going to book a lodge with her boyfriend for a few hours. When they got to the lodge, they paid for a few hours. The lodge workers attested that the boyfriend was looking very intoxicated in a way that he couldn’t even stand properly.

Surprisingly, the boyfriend came out of the room alone, and when they asked where the girlfriend was, he said she would follow him. She’s just freshening up. Unfortunately, Funeka didn’t come out; she was found dead the next day. They found her with a lot of blood flowing from her nose. After this was posted on social media, people were left with so many ideas; some are even blaming the lodge, saying that they should have checked on her after her booking time was finished.

The boyfriend is said to be an unknown boy who just came to pick her up at her gate. Some people are suspecting that the guy might not be a boyfriend but someone who was just hooking up with her. However, some suspect that she might have overdosed on drugs because she was bleeding through her nose. The police are still investigating the case and asking anyone who might have information to contact them. May her soul rest in peace.
