In a shocking revelation, a 24-year-old Nigerian woman has confessed to selling her three-year-old brother, Friday Okonkwo, for ₦410,000 in Adamawa State.

She stated that the severe economic hardship in the country led her to take such drastic actions.

Deception: Blessing deceived her mother, Hauwa Lawan, by falsely claiming to enroll her brother in a school in Mubi, 40 kilometers away, while actually selling him to a human trafficker named Efunaya Nabufe, who took him to Enugu State.

Proceeds Usage: Blessing used the money from selling her brother to buy a grinding machine and gave her boyfriend N200,000 for their traditional wedding expenses.

Mother's Disbelief: Hauwa Lawan expressed disbelief that her daughter could sell her own sibling to a stranger.

Revelation: Hauwa Lawan mentioned how Blessing had lied about enrolling her brother in school and how she had not heard from him for a year.

Discovery: The truth came to light when Blessing's father discovered the child's whereabouts during her marriage proposal.

Confession: Blessing eventually confessed that the child was alive and residing with a woman in Enugu after her father consulted an oracle.

Arrest: Blessing and Efunaya Nabufe were arrested by the police, and SP Suleiman Nguroje confirmed that they would face charges in court following a thorough investigation.
