Asake Reacts to Fireboy's Unfollow on Social Media
Nigerian singer Asake has recently expressed his thoughts on social media after discovering that his YBNL colleague, Fireboy, unfollowed him on Instagram. This development comes in the wake of Fireboy's new album, titled "Adedamola," which was released on Thursday, August 29th, 2024. Fireboy, whose real name is Adedamola Adefolahan, has made waves in the music scene with this fourth studio album.
The album "Adedamola" features 14 tracks and includes collaborations with several prominent artists, such as Lagbaja, Lojay, Seun Kuti, DJ Spinall, and Jon Batiste. As of now, Fireboy's album is performing exceptionally well, with six songs making it into the top 10 of the Nigerian Apple Music chart. Notable tracks include "Iseoluwa" at number 2, "Call Me" at number 3, and "Ecstasy" featuring Seun Kuti at number 6, among others.
Interestingly, prior to the release of "Adedamola," Asake had already unfollowed Fireboy, possibly hinting at underlying tensions between the two artists. In a twist of events, following the success of Fireboy's album, he responded by unfollowing Asake, leading to speculation about their relationship and the dynamics within the YBNL label.
